Built for the new era
EstatesBase is a new platform, built for the era the DfE framework has opened. The design starts where the estate's work actually happens: with the site team completing tasks, and with the record those tasks build. The strategic surfaces (the board's assurance view, the maturity position, the annual return) are built on what that work records. That order is deliberate, and the rest of this site shows it rather than describes it.
EstatesBase is built by the team behind Compliance Pod, on fifteen years of compliance delivery for schools, trusts, and colleges.
EstatesBase was designed with the people who run education estates. Its compliance backbone comes from a team that has delivered estates compliance to schools, trusts and colleges for fifteen years. The design has been shaped by working compliance professionals, by governance professionals who sit where a board's assurance is won or lost, and by building management professionals who survey condition and plan the fabric. It has been tested with real trusts and colleges, by the estates teams who use it, so the system fits how the work is done rather than how a specification imagined it.
EstatesBase and The Estates Strategy Partnership are two complementary parts of one estates capability. The partnership advises on governance, capability, and operating model. EstatesBase operationalises and evidences that work: it is where the estate is recorded, managed, and its evidence held. Each stands alone and is bought in its own right, and the two are commonly owned. Together they compound, because the advice and the platform are built on the same understanding of what the DfE framework requires.
