Previews and confirmations

Before an assistant changes anything, EstatesBase shows what would change. Nothing happens until you read the preview and say yes.

Updated 17 October 2026

An assistant never changes anything in EstatesBase straight away. When you ask it to make a change, such as completing a task or raising a request, EstatesBase first works out what would happen and gives the assistant a preview.

Read the preview

The preview says, in plain words:

  • what would change, from what to what
  • which record it is, and at which site
  • any warning, for example that evidence is missing

The assistant should show you the preview and ask whether to go ahead. Read it yourself. Do not rely on the assistant's summary of it.

Saying yes

If the preview is right, tell the assistant to go ahead. It then confirms the change, and EstatesBase checks everything again before making it.

  • A preview lasts ten minutes. After that, ask again for a fresh one.
  • A preview works once. Asking the assistant to confirm it a second time changes nothing more.
  • If the preview is wrong, say no, or simply do not confirm it. Nothing changes.

Who made the change

The change is recorded under your name, marked as made through your AI assistant. You are responsible for it, just as if you had made it on the page yourself.

Check your understanding

Your assistant shows a preview to complete a task, but it names the wrong site. What should you do?

  • Confirm it, then correct the site on the page afterwards
  • Say no, or do not confirm it, so nothing changes
  • Wait ten minutes for the preview to correct itself

Who is the change recorded against when you confirm it?

  • The assistant's provider
  • You, marked as made through your AI assistant
  • Your administrator
