Ending connections
Every way to end an assistant's access to EstatesBase, for one person, for one assistant or for everyone, and what happens when a person leaves.
For administrators Updated 17 October 2026
Ending access is always immediate, and revoking a connection never waits for administrator mode.
One person's connection
- Open Settings, then Integrations, then AI assistants, then the Connections tab.
- Find the connection. Use the Person, Assistant and Status filters if there are many.
- Choose Revoke, then confirm.
Their assistant stops reaching EstatesBase at once. They can connect it again if the policy lets them.
The person ends it themselves
Anyone can end their own connection on Connected apps (under My Profile) with Disconnect. This works even if the policy no longer lets them connect. Removing EstatesBase from the assistant itself can also end the connection.
Every connection through one assistant
On the Assistants tab:
- Do not allow beside an assistant in Which assistants people may connect stops people connecting it, and ends every connection through it now. This needs administrator mode.
- Revoke beside a client under Assistants registered with your organisation ends every connection through that client. A client your organisation added (such as one for Copilot Studio) is removed, and people need a new client to connect again. A client shared with other organisations stays registered, but every connection to it in your organisation ends. This needs administrator mode.
Remember that Claude Code, GitHub Copilot in VS Code and Gemini CLI can be imitated by another program on the same computer. Not allowing them is a convenience, not a control.
Everyone at once
Untick Let people connect AI assistants on the Policy tab and choose Save the policy. No assistant can reach EstatesBase and every connection ends.
EstatesBase can also switch AI assistants off for your organisation, which ends every connection too.
When access ends without anyone pressing a button
- A person is suspended or leaves. Their connections end.
- A connection reaches its end date. It stops working, and the person connects again if they still need it.
- You shorten the longest a connection may last. Connections older than the new length stop at once.
- A waiting connection is never approved. It lapses after 7 days.
What the person sees
On Connected apps, an ended connection moves to Recently ended, with the reason. Their assistant is no longer signed in to EstatesBase, and usually asks them to sign in again. Signing in again makes a new connection, only if the policy lets them.
If a connection stops because you shortened the longest a connection may last, or because it waited too long for approval, the assistant is refused with:
This connection has ended. Connect the assistant again to carry on.
